Battlefield 3 Classes

By German Batista

The new classes in Battlefield 3 merges the 7 classes that were available in Battlefield 2. The four classes in Battlefield 3 are going to be support, engineer, recon, and assault. In Battlefield 2 you had a medic class but it was hardly ever used, mainly because you didn’t get any additional points for doing your task and the weapons were inadequate to defend yourself. The assault class is now the new medic, and it includes a new feature where you can remove your defibrillator and add a grenade launcher attachment instead. So now you are able to customize each class anyway you want. In previous FPS like Black Ops and Bad Company 2, when you see a player that needs to be resurrected, you can go up and revive the player whether they like it or not. In Battlefield 2 the player had a choice whether if they wanted to be revived or not, which gave them a chance to change class; this feature will be brought back in Battlefield 3. Also the defibrillator will have a longer wait time before you can revive someone again, in Bad Company 2 there were too many people being revived left and right which became really annoying.

The support class will have the ability to give out extra ammo to players who need it, and, like in previous Battlefield games, will have heavier guns like the PKM, which holds more ammo and packs more firepower than a regular assault rifle. They have also included a bipod on these weapons so that when you lay prone you’ll have better accuracy when firing.

The engineer class will have the same features in Battlefield 3 like they did in Bad Company 2, anti-tank equipment, and the ability to repair vehicles. Recon will be the new sniper class, which will have team based features on it rather than having players selfishly snipe enemies from afar, but there isn’t enough info on this class yet.

Battlefield 3 will include squad leaders like in Battlefield 2, and it will be a 4 man squad. Squad leaders will have the chance to create the squad and the ability to respawn someone at your location. So it is really important for the leader to stay alive and to have your team support you in order to advance through objectives.

Overall they are really making the classes team based so that you work together to accomplish objectives, instead of running around trying to get the most kills. We can expect more features to come as we get closer to the release date. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes revealed at mw3vsbf3.com

Pyramid Solitaire – Classic and Modern Versions

By Liliana Alvarado

Pyramid Solitaire

Solitaire games never go out of fashion, even in today’s day and age, you can get solitaire games everywhere including on your phone and your PC. Pyramid Solitaire is a particularly popular variant for those of us who have got bored of other more common versions.

Solitaire for the Computer Age

Solitaire has always been the perfect game for killing a few minutes in an entertaining way, long before computers were invented. What makes computer based versions of solitaire so popular is that they can usually be obtained for free, they can be played more quickly on computers than with a conventional deck of cards, you don’t have to tidy up afterwards and interesting rule variations can be be applied that are difficult to do using just a normal deck of card.

What Exactly is Pyramid Solitaire?

You can be forgiven for asking what makes Pyramid Solitaire so popular. It’s a solitaire game that relys more on thought, planning and intelligence, than other solitaire games that can rely on mostly the player’s luck.

The cards are all dealt face up in the shape of a pyramid, seven cards tall. The aim of the game is to pair certain cards up and gradually remove all cards from the board. It does sound simple, but this so called simple game requires good planning and thinking to play well.

The basic idea of the game is to match up pairs of cards to add up to 13. Underneath the pyramid, you may deal yourself sets of 3 cards. If you’re unable to pair any two cards up to 13, you can get another three cards on top of those already dealt. As the King is worth 13 on its own, you may discard it if it is available. If there are no more cards to deal then its game over, alternatively for an easier game you may redeal the cards (except from the pyramid) up to two more times.

Another version of the game allows you to place one card at any time from either pyramid or dealt cards, away from the game that can be used later. This version, greatly enhances the game, although to play it properly the cards should not be redealt if they run out. In some ways it makes this solitaire game easier, but is much more more interesting to players as planning and thought are so much more important to effectively use the extra card placement.

Playing Pyramid Solitaire

There are a few important strategies that should be used, so that you can remove all the cards from the pyramid. As mentioned you should always remove any Kings as soon as they are available. Its important to plan several moves ahead. Work out which card pairs when removed will allow you to gain access to other cards. This is crucial otherwise you may block your own progress in the game.

Remember its much more useful to remove cards from the pyramid, rather than the ones that are dealt to you.

A Warning About This Game

Pyramid Solitaire really is a very addictive solitaire game. Once you start playing you’ll be surprised how enticing and interesting this solitaire variant is compared to some others.

Pyramid Solitaire is a fun, free solitaire game that is recommended for anyone who has ever enjoyed playing a game of solitaire.

Facts and Hints About Angry Birds

By Roger Fererer

Angry Birds has become a worldwide gaming mega hit but how did this game come into existence? Rovio is the name of the company that created angry birds, however, it’s not the first game they developed. Surprisingly they have been creating games for several years but had just never broken through into the mainstream the way they did with angry birds. The idea for the game came about in 2009 when the company was looking at different ideas for games which they thought could become popular. It was a simple idea spawned from some sketches of wingless and legless birds which were angry.

The sketches caught on among the staff who in turn created a unique design which became angry birds. The pigs were added into the game later in the development as an enemy. During this period of development swine flu was being heavily reported in the news which is where the idea for the pigs emerged.

The basis of the game is very simple and is not unique to angry birds but has been seen in many other games previously. It’s a simple physics/puzzle game. The player is given a slingshot and a finite supply of angry birds with differing characteristics. Some birds are faster than others while others can be split into multiple birds. You control the trajectory of the birds with the slingshot which launches them towards rickety structures containing your main enemy, the pigs. In order to advance to the next level you must eliminate all of the pigs before your birds run out.

Rovio has released several different versions of the game at this point. The original, Seasons, and Rio. Seasons is a collection of holiday themed versions of the game while Rio was a movie tie in for the movie Rio. All versions continue to be updated with new levels which are free to those who have previously purchased the game. In addition to these versions of the game there are some free versions of the game available to play. Google has a special chrome version which allows you to play some levels. A special ‘lite’ version of the game is available in your favorite app store as well.

Below are some tips for making the most of your angry bird gaming sessions.

  • Try to use as few birds as possible. Each unused bird will give you 10,000 points when you clear the level. Useful info if you love to get high scores.
  • Watch the trail your birds leave behind once launched. This makes it easier to adjust your next shot or to simply shoot in the same direction again.
  • Be sure to wait until your previous bird has disappeared completely before launching another.
  • Everything you destroy on the screen will give you points so try to kill the pigs while causing as much destruction as possible.
  • Remember that you can zoom in if you need a closer look.
  • If you are really stuck you can look up the angry birds walkthroughs online. Everything is easily found on YouTube or on one of the many fan sites.
